September Updates

Eli Sklarin, Marketing Director at Baker
8/31/17 10:48 AM

Your weekly digest of everything "Baker". If you have any feedback or suggestions, reach out to Maria.

Sales

Today is the last day of the month, which feels like a Friday. However, it will be Friday for the Sales Team if they go above their numbers because they will have tomorrow off! Carter is hoping to see the Baker Alerts channel light up, and for numbers to be in the "best-best case" scenario.

Starting on Tuesday, four new sales members will be joining us! (Three in Denver, one in Seattle).

Customer Success

Matt LaBelle will be joining the team and taking over southwest regions and part of Colorado.

Ryan Meloy has been building the visuals for the 90-day onboarding deck. This will be shared with everyone sometime next week.

Marketing

There are new NCIA events on the Marketing calendar. Please make sure to browse through them!

We have had great media placement this week with commentary from Roger and David. Check out the Marketing channel to find the articles. The press page on the website will be updated soon with these articles as well.

Maria is working on adding tons of awesome content to our blog page, and would love ideas from each of you! Please email her with any blog topic/s that you think should be published. If you would like to write a blog, let her know as well. All of your ideas are greatly appreciated!

Lastly, the Flowhub + Baker sync has been announced.

Engineering

"No news is good news," says Roger. Things have finally settled down and the devs are working on their projects in peace.

Operations

Jillian is moving into a new role: Head of Talent! She will no longer be responsible for admin tasks, so please go to your manager for any admin needs.

The content on the careers page is being updated. Please review and give Jillian your feedback if you can!

 Product

Orders and Loyalty 2.0 are both in the design and spec phase. Patrick is working away at Orders 2.0 and finalizing the design. Patient Intake will go live next week and 24 -hour ordering will go out the following.

 Shout-Outs

Joe for being active and able to handle anything that comes up.

Alex for stepping up when Rachel was out and being an expert of our system.

 Other baker news

We have experienced some challenges in our communication and organization. We are excited to announce that we are bringing on an experienced VP of Product to help us scale into the future!

What is your favorite part about living in Colorado?

People. I love being immersed in the creative culture of risk-taking future-shaping rapscallions.

Reading, refinishing furniture, cooking, foul-mouth cross-stitching, attending events focused around software and web development, frolicking in the park with my friends' dogs, street-art hunting, attending art show openings, outdoor adventuring, and being generally delighted (you'll see in the picture).

What is one thing you want the team to know about you?

I enjoy a good conversation about technology, innovation, design, music, quantum mechanics, poetry and beauty. Don't talk to me about money or politics. Ever.
