Customer Success

CS is in the final stages of interviewing someone to help Josh with his workload.

Alex is starting to do a weekly lunch-and-learn for customer facing teams. Sales and CS should prioritize attending these meetings.

The sales stats over Labor Day weekend were phenomenal. Thanks to the CS Team for helping our clients hit these numbers. Check out our social media posts to see those awesome stats.

Our first client-facing product update blog went out this week and has already received 65 views!

A new hire will be starting part-time on Monday to help Jesse with data analysis.

"No news is good news", is still the theme this week. The Dev Team is finding a good pace and sticking to it. Friday had more Checkins than ever before, more than 4/20, and everything was stable and working. Great job devs!

New hire profiles

Megan King

What did you do before joining Baker?

I worked as a Development Manager at a young women’s breast cancer foundation. In the early Spring of this year, I transitioned into a volunteer role and took on a remotely-based sales contracting role in the cannabis industry. I worked as a sales and business development contractor for a website that educates patients on the benefits of medical cannabis which lead me to discovering and joining Baker!

What do you like to do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?

I have a 2.5 year old son so I do a lot of chasing, adventuring and snuggling. I am a homebody - at home I like to do yoga, sit on my porch and have dinner parties where my friends come over...and they do all the cooking. I don’t enjoy watching TV all that much, I prefer to read or work in the evenings - exception being Game of Thrones, worth every single minute of screen lock. I try to channel my inner Khaleesi in life.

What is one thing you want the team to know about you?

I love people, I am a people person. I like to talk to people, help people, observe people, and meet new people. So let’s have lunch!

What are you looking forward to the most about working with Baker?

I look forward to being a part of a team of uniquely intelligent, bad-ass, humans that I can grow, grind and help to build the Baker empire with.

If you could pick three bands, from any time period in history, to play the perfect show, who would you pick?

This is a funny question. I just told the new hires team today, I know so little about pop culture of any sorts, including popular music. I DO love music and unless I am working or sleeping, I am listening to it. I have my own eclectic taste, a lot of the artists I like are underground/unsigned as well as some gangster rap. So with that being said, my line up is Trevor Hall, Kat Dahlia and J.Cole.

What did you do before joining Baker?

I worked in B2B sales for a number of industries, including Insurance, construction, digital advertising, and of course canna-technology. I’ve also traveled to 26 countries, most of which took place during my semester abroad and in-between jobs.

What do you like to do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?

I love smoking weed before any activities following but not limited too, playing tennis, watching NFL / NCAA football, weight lifting, playing videos games, nerdy anime shows, Game of Thrones!, running, attending music shows, and getting beer wasted with my friends.

What is one thing you want the team to know about you?

My biggest passion in life is traveling. To be truthful, having adventures is what I love, it just so happens that I believe traveling offers the best platform for adventure development. I haven’t had the time or money to go on a big trip for awhile, but I hope to change that in the next few years. When I travel, I usually have an awesome story that resulted in some sort of suffering or huge inconvenience, for example, I once lost a tooth in a break dance battle in Osaka, Japan against a traveling circus acrobat from Boston.

What are you looking forward to the most about working with Baker?

I’m looking forward to taking back my home turf from Grassworks Digital, and taking advantage of the amazing opportunity thats been bestowed upon me. I’m excited about my work flow solely focusing on consulting prospects on intelligent purchasing decisions. The best way I can be an asset to Baker, is to lead by example. I want to demonstrate that this role takes someone willing to do the proper research and groundwork to understand their prospects business in and out. Only then can someone earn the right to be an authoritative educator for their business. I intend to inspire those around me through my work ethic, kaizen, and success.

What do you like to do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?

In my free time, I enjoy doing almost everything that you can possibly do in the mountains. If I had to choose my top three, it would be skiing or snowboarding, camping, and dirt-biking. I also still enjoy playing in men's lacrosse leagues and coaching youngins. Love all sports in general, especially my Denver teams.

I love to learn about history, conspiracies and business/sales.

If you could pick three bands, from any time period in history, to play the perfect show, who would you pick?

If I had to pick three bands from any time period to create a perfect show it would have to be - Chris Ledoux, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Earth Wind and Fire.

What did you do before joining Baker?

Prior to joining Baker, I took the summer off to enjoy the Colorado’s great outdoors. After spending 5 years out of college with a Fortune 100 tech company, I took that 2 months to really appreciate the Mountains of Colorado. Spent that time hiking and fishing all over Colorado with my dog, and really enjoyed the peace the mountains provide.

What do you like to do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?

Other than spending my time in the mountains, my favorite past time is following sports. I’ve found that sports and business are very relatable and really enjoy following sports from the high school to pick up the trends in talent. You'll constantly find me reading articles on Track/XC or the Broncos.

What is one thing you want the team to know about you?

Although I’m a sports fanatic, I’ve always been called a giant nerd. Really enjoy the fantasy genre and have read multiple series of over the years. And of course, I’m an avid gamer on both the playstation and xbox platforms.

What are you looking forward to the most about working with Baker?

Being on the ground floor of the Cannabis Tech movement and helping the Cannabis industry grow as an industry is what I’m excited about. It’s the coolest industries to be a part of and everyone thinks it’s so cool that I’m a member of the industry. Shout out to my brother, Will.

If you could pick three bands, from any time period in history, to play the perfect show, who would you pick?

I can’t wait to not only get aboard the rocket ship, but also help build it mid-flight alongside so many other intelligent and driven people. I’m also looking forward to improving my metaphors.
